Fagor Industrial, S. Coop., an international industrial cooperative based in Oñate, Basque Country, and composed of a community of 800 members, was facing a critical challenge in the security of its systems. Since its foundation in 1974, the company has experienced significant growth, accentuating the importance of protecting its valuable digital assets. With the increasing need for remote access to its resources, the security of its data and industrial processes had become a primary concern. The complexity in managing RDP and SSH accesses, along with the challenges inherent in escalating privileges on Linux systems, posed significant obstacles to safeguarding the cooperative's sensitive information. Simplifying identity and privilege management became crucial to maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of data in an increasingly exposed business environment with complex cyber threats.
